Position Details

The Department of English at Wesleyan University seeks a well-published poet at the advanced Assistant or Associate professor level to begin July 1, 2018. Teaching responsibilities include two courses per semester in introductory through advanced workshops as well as literature courses. The successful candidate will also advise and mentor students, help plan the reading series, be ready to assume a leadership role in creative writing programs in the department and university, participate in faculty governance at the departmental and university level, and take an active part in a growing, lively writing community. Minimum Qualifications

Candidates should have a record of publication including one or more books in print with nationally recognized publisher(s) and demonstrated teaching experience.
